I am the owner of Fantasia Hull #3 commissioned as "Dolphin".
She was originally owned by the Boatwright Family of Virginia. She was sold to
Patrick Deans and Francis Camble of Virginia and renamed "Fantasia" about 1980.
I purchased her in 1988 and renamed her Kate and moved aboard. We cruised the
Bahamas and Florida with some offshore sailing along the Florida coast. My wife
and I lived aboard her for twelve years in 40 ft boat comfort while making
several trips up and down the inland water from Virginia to Florida and beyond.
Kate has her original Isuzu engine which I rebuilt in 1995. Her steel fuel tank
is still in use but I plan to replace it this fall. Kate's wooden mast still
stands on her cabin top but has had the bottom 10 ft, middle section at the
spreaders and the top five feet all
replaced.
All things considered my wife and I consider her an excellent cruising boat and
the look of her warms my heart. She is a family member and much loved by us and
our family who all have good memories of times aboard her in many places.
