Fantasia 35 Pinniped Log Book

Pinniped Hull # 47

This scan was recently sent to me by the boat Nereus who was cruising at the
same time that we were. This shot was when we all fled up the river from
Suva Fiji in 1996 to escape an approaching hurricane. We were tied deep in
the mangrove trees and had gusts of 4 knots over the deck due to the shelter
of the trees. As a former California delta cruiser, we had no difficulty in
doing a river tie up in the trees. Some of the other boats had quite a hard
time coming to grips with the spider web of lines and readjusting with the
tides.
