The design to the left is unique in that a stainless ring with dimensions matching the outer dimensions of your dingy can be lowered and latched onto your dingy when it is in the water.  The ring and the dingy can then be raised and  secured in one of two positions.

Position one is the standard horizontal position for light weather sailing.

Position two is achieved by first bringing the dingy up to position one and then  rotating the dingy with its attached ring about 75 degrees allowing the dingy to rest in an almost vertical position.
